I see our country at a crossroads - I could say "crisis" but attempt to stay positive. I can't be the only 30 something, moderately intelligent, multi tasking mommy, who works and pays taxes, that is at a loss on who to vote for. (eenie meenie miney moe.....)

It'd be far easier to roll my eyes to heaven, shrug my shoulders and slide comfortably into a political coma. Then I look at my boys and think, "not yet".

In my business, it's not smart to over promise, and then under deliver.
Obama is promising the world, the American Dream, and a hand out, oops I mean a hand UP, to every single person in America - yes I said person, not "citizen".
Obama promises that sick people will be well and that the oceans will stop rising. I suppose with those Jesus like qualities you don’t need foreign policy experience.
I'm sure someone is offended at this point and I will get some heat. Bring it.

Clinton: the arrogance of privilege seeps out of every pore and that's one of her positive qualities, but enough said. I'll save the rest for 2012.

McCain: one bad hair day away from "SsNAP"!!....sounds glib, but honestly, he has to be on good behavior while campaigning, but I'm a bit freaked out when I consider the proverbial "finger on the button" with that temperament.

As the lines between parties become more blurred where do I look for Truth? The media outlets? No, seriously - Fox News or CNN? The New York Times or the SF Chronicle? After being spoon fed so much BS, will I start acquiring a taste for it? The Daily Show has less "spin" and definitely more laughs. God save Jon Stewart!

So for now I will take my boys to a birthday party, enjoy the Summer Olympics without wondering what China is really up to, and hopefully by November, have enough clarity to do something besides close my eyes and point.
